The Hear Wants What It Cant Have

Every night I close my eyes
wishing to the skies
for you to be at my side
rather than her dreaming to be your bride.

I told myself I wouldn’t fall
but then I’d have nothing at all
just having your friendship
is nothing compared to our relationship.

But the way you look at her
I can hardly bare
the way you smile
makes me want me to be worth your while.

I’d do anything for you
if what we had was true
however what we had could never last
and now that’s all in the past.
