The Healing

It came as a wrinkled reflection The soul in the mirror Still finding courage Rhythm in nursery rhymes A familiar mild humour Self dependence Like a portrait of somber Assuage sessions seek A soft light in bleak places Many voices speak Numb tones from happy faces A march into amber Last time it swayed a little farther Slightly aligned to the light smoke from burnt cyber bridges A shadow of black but not dark Footsteps out of the door Unsolicited farewell A prelude to dawn Mocking birds taking flight Serenity and her gang Hope glimmering fate pervading sight An element of freedom Undressing from "their" preferences There’s no metaphor for this silence Pushing away the innocence A second take at complete recovery Cold play on a summer eve A scant senile reverie There’s no Healing without pain !
