The Hawk On the Bough

As seen from our front window.

The Hawk ON THE BOUGH

binoculars gawk
there’s a storm looming
the hawk returns to h i s bough
he’d flown out for lunch
he’s pecking off fur
and indulging in squirrel
he needs no raincheck
in f o w l weather he wings it

Poor squirrel, but the hawk has to eat too.

That’s what I thought. I wonder if he will return to the same bough. We will be on the lookout :)
