The Haven

For many years I watched you grow I watched you dim and I watched you glow I watched you brave the fire and snow I watched you still and I watched you flow You've been my shelter from the skelter You sheltered me so I would not loiter My soul could sore and fester Without your smile and laughter For even if some folks are rough Even if the odds are tough I was with you throughout the years With you I learned to face my fears You've been my home against the storm You've let me stay so I would not roam For within you lies my precious sunshine My haven, oh Divine In memory of my workplace for the past seven years
