The Haunting

Look for me in the moonlit sky
Every rain drop that falls are tears from my eyes
I'm the gentle wind that caresses your face
I'm the shadow that vanishes without a trace
Yet you feel my spirit always with you
You can not deny it for your heart knows it's true
You call out my name in your sleep
And promise to me the love I seek
But when morning comes and a new day
The promises of the night before fade away
Yet I will wait and hope and pray
You will give me your heart one day
Unil that day I'm contented to be
The memory of a love that will someday be
