The Hardest Test

There comes a moment
when all appears dark,
thoughts aren't as clear
as pure running water
while we travel in an ark
where nothing is seen;
nothing is heard in between.

How can a spoiled guy,
 who has been given everything
be put to the hardest test?
It's the one who makes a tight fist
and challenges life with true motivation and feeling!

Put your unpleasant past to rest,
bury its darkest moments;
have the will to start over
and tell yourself, " It's a crossover
from sadness to gladness! "
Be advised: it's the hardest test.

How can a spoiled brat who has been given everything
be put to the hardest test?
It's the one who makes a fist
and challenges life with true motivation and feeling!

Salvation can't be promised
to anybody guilty of betrayal like Jude,
strip it of any cheerless mood;
replace it with the kindest word
and be ready to face the hardest test:
you are bound to be the greatest!

How can a spoiled guy,
 who was given everything:
be put to the hardest test?
It's the one who makes a tight fist,
challenging life boldly
with true motivation and feeling!

Doesn't Christ tell us we must be reborn
to enter glorious Heaven?
Who can be whole without being torn
into pieces, looking down
at the Earth below that
doesn't have the strength
to pass the hardest test?

How can a spoiled guy,
who was given everything:
be put to the hardest test?
It's the one who makes a tight fist,
challenging life boldly
with true motivation and feeling!

If we are to pass the hardest test we must first find healing from what we have endured.
