The Hardened Stone

Go away and leave me alone
You cannot carve the hardened stone

So death has come deep down inside
Among these four walls where I hide
Comforts me and keeps all the pain
From ever finding me again

Keep on knocking on that wood door
Run away then come back for more
Why won't you believe what you heard
Guess you wanted that special word

Continue to pray and again
Wait the day I've paid for my sins
You could've had my heart one day
But with my mind you want to play

Go away and leave me alone
You cannot carve the hardened stone

this is a great but sad poem i am your first comment on it (shocking) and i thought it was beautiful so many of us have felt that way like someone ripped our heart out and tossed it aroung just to replace it into our cheast as a "hardened stone" never to love the same again never to trust the way you once did. i totally got it. good write. =)
