The Hard Way
Nepotism
Because my parents are famous
Does that mean that I have made it
And if you come from old money
2nd generation
Spoon fed Honey
And have the audacity to look down on me
Then excuse me if I don't bow my head
And am not jealous but pity you instead
Because unlike you I have had to slave
To aford a roof over my head
And know the actual cost of a loaf of bread
And a pint of milk
The commoners essential day to day things
Like paying mundane bill's for Gas and Electricity
And bus or train tickets to get 1 to work
In order to work for a Boss
That doesn't give a toss if you turn up or not
Privilege is wasted on those who have
And craved and dreamed of by the have not's
Though I may live and die poor
Come judgment day
At least I can say I payed my own way
And can say
I did it my way
The hard way
