Notes About The Poem

The Hanged Man

Blackened eyes cause the heart to race.
Must run away, all you can do is cry.
A familiar poison, smeared across the hollow face.
An old sinister rope is tied to the sky.

Eyes piercing into your soul,
Its visit comes with a heavy toll.
Once the clock strikes midnight
You’ll be trapped in the cold light.

There is no hope here,
only death and decay.
A soft voice infiltrates your ear,
and giant claws close your airway.

An overwhelming foul scent,
you’re filled with strife.
It lives for your torment,
until you take your life.

This one I had seen before. It's great horror writing. Btw, thanks for my recent placement in one of your contests

An old horror game I played back when I was a kid in 2012. I’m tempted to write more horror themed ones.

The sense of torment and hopelessness is strong here, Seth. I enjoyed your rhyming it as well
