The Hallowed Night

Above the moon flocked, steepled pines
Eternal sky - the hallowed night
      Celestial alms of grand designs
Sing silent psalms in ancient light

Dear David, this piece is so atmospherically and spiritually beautiful. I adore your word choices, they are splendid to convey the feeling of "the hallowed night", and I admire your rhyme of "pines/designs". Congratulations for your excellent win in Milton's contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

this is very pretty. I am surprised to be the first to comment to this one. Good luck in the contest. I have one that I will need to post soon, but I think mine is two stanzas?? If it can only be one verse, I hope mine is just the one!!
