The Grey

shall I dwell in the palette of extreme where canons lounge unchallenged indulging parroted truths of rigid dogma or maybe the grey sublime in its centrist hue let me struggle with dangerous assertions in the crucible of original thought birthing new epiphanies unmoored from the status quo drifting purposely between black and white

Dear David, such beautiful, thought-provoking musings spilled from your golden pen. I prefer the middle ground to inflexible extremes. I especially loved "drifting purposely between/black and white" - your expression is so poetic. This verse resonates with me as does the entire piece. Congratulations for your success in Rob's contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

I am mainly a Baptist with heavy reformed leanings, but I still love this. Congrats and thanks for the entry.

Congratulations David! Your poem has placed "Third" in my contest. You should take pride, I was very strict, but your poem rose to a podium position on my list. Very well done my friend, Emile.
