The Greatest Unwavering Love

I carry notions that there could be greater
things carrying more importance than me.
An outpour of faith I crave when healing
calls my name when disarray laughs at me.
I could say that the Creator is larger than
my life-
I would be telling not the truth, but bestowing
           falsehood.

For my sweetheart’s love runs deeper than
oceans that fear no gust nor wave.
Its trust fears not the kismet of our affection,
but that one day, death shall prevail without
warning.

And so, this fairy tale shall be told in
unwavering truth.
Unveiling my soul his love does do when
we are near each other with ease in darkness.
Encompassing my heart in loyalty his devotion
always undertakes.
I shall never take for granted his sincere
regard for romance,
yet make more room for its perpetual warmth.

For my life is but a diminutive existence
compared to his undying love for me-
and I shall always be ceaselessly indebted.
