The Greatest Change
THE GREATEST CHANGE
A politician stands and states the things he plans to change,
The policies that he presents might seem a little strange.
A coach may speak about his team for the upcoming year,
The things he says that they will change may make you want to cheer.
The weatherman looks at the sky and sees so many things--
The changes for the next few days that it’s about to bring.
Yes, life is all about some change as each day passes on,
One generation born, matures, and soon each one is gone.
But there is One who knows no change, He’s always been the same
Through life with changes in events, and Jesus is His name.
He makes a change within the heart when one receives His grace,
He makes a change within the mind and matters it may face.
He makes a change within the soul, brings joy, abundant life,
He makes a change there in our strength to help us face our strife.
We need these changes from the One who came to earth one day
To die upon a rugged cross to take our sins away.
And though each person on the earth is different and unique,
The message that He brings of change to everyone He speaks.
It doesn’t change for rich or poor, for young or for the old,
It doesn’t change for black or white, for timid or for bold.
It doesn’t change for moral man, nor for the wicked one,
It’s “Jesus is the only way, God’s only begotten Son.”
When you receive Him in your life, He will it rearrange,
Through His sweet Spirit and His power you’ll see the greatest change.
