The Great Toad

At the gateless gate
I met the Great Toad
Sitting tall and wide

And in his gaze
All my needs were known
And met

And in that moment
I passed beyond
Without a trace

The Tao of heaven does not strive, and yet it overcomes. It does not speak, and yet is answered. It does not ask, yet is supplied with all its needs. It seems to have no aim and yet its purpose is fulfilled. (Tao Te Ching, chapter 73)
