The Great Sun God

I looked over the horizon
waited for the sun to rise
time ticked by but darkness still rained
and I thought how nice it would be
if the sun rose right now
and the heat that I craved
the dawn was here now
the more I thought
the more it rose
my brothers wounds healed
from the battle of the night
Hades will be upset
the Underworld lost it's might
Ares punched my arm
and Thor lifted his hammer
Zeus gave a smile
and the sea god laughed a while
I had made the sun rise
and that is my job
because I am Apollo
the great sun god
