Notes About The Poem

A true story. Two uncles first to go of six siblings. One died in his twenties and the other 26 years ago. Miss them.

The Grave Truth

THE GRAVE TRUTH

It was not undertakers that fell in.
Running through a graveyard - night’s subtle sin.
Brothers in moonlight.
One slipped out of sight.
He’s the first one the grim reaper would win.
