The Grand Old Lady By the River

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans
To see the ironworks filled with flowers supreme
To gaze the Mississippi on calm felled days
Then wonder how youth suddenly slipped away

Do you Know what it means to miss New Orleans?

This is so beautiful! I would love to set it to music. I sent you an email about turning this lovely work into a musical work, and would love your permission to do so!

I've never been there; so I would not know. However, it must be nice if the city produced so many fine musical artists like Fats Domino and the late Louis Armstrong.
