The Grand Father Clock
The grandfather clock stood silent
it had stood the test of time defiant
seen babys born and many dawns
but now just stands silent
the little lad shouts his dad
my grandfathers clocks gone silent
some keys fit hearts and other clocks
and this ones spring needs winding
a few turns later the spring is sprung
and grandfathers clock strikes eleven
dad looks outside sees natures also come alive
and says son look the spring as sprung outside.
