The Grand Canyon
It's been difficult to find the words,
To describe the sights I've recently seen,
Overwhelming and speechless, come to mind,
When I think of where I've been.
This natural wonder surely is, a sight to behold,
I sat in awe, as I flew above,
These patterns carved in sandstone,
I truly fell in love.
Nature in its finest,
Beauty in its splendour,
Open to the elements,
Which haven't been tender.
As the sunlight bounced off,
The Grand Canyon walls,
I watched it come to life,
No words came to call.
I gasped in amazement,
I sighed with pleasure,
That moment is mine,
One I will forever treasure.
