The Good Ones Never Get Caught

It’s always the good ones
Who stay outta trouble
And seem to view the world
From inside a bubble

But we’re not the good kids
For us the bubble’s burst
And we can’t lie ‘cause
We’ve seen the world’s worst

But here’s a chance
For us to catch a break
And tend to the wounds
That for us still ache

So let’s just relax and laugh
For a while
And pretend there’s still innocence
Behind our smiles

‘Cause the good ones never get caught
Oh, no
The good ones never get caught

Perhaps it's the so called good ones that cause the trouble.

I was curious by the title of your poem. So I read it and said she is being a bit "facetious" here. Or perhaps "tongue in cheek". You do make a good point. Take care, Jancarl
