The Good of An Angel

She's sinking further below with a wounded heart
Not broken to the max but is crumbling apart
Feeling as though her life is going from bad to worse
She doesn't feel like a blessing more like a curse
Just so focused on the bad instead of the good
Doubt creeps in her mind so abused and misunderstood
If she was to ask me what's the good I see in her
I look right into her eyes and tell her like no other
You saved me from myself when nobody was around
You're the happiness in my life that I'm glad I have found
Someone I can call on when in need of a friend
And the light of my world hoping this feeling will never end
We had our ups and downs but still we remain
Was it destined by faith for a bond like this to gain
For a friend like you to be caring and so true
I just can't thank you enough for all the things you do
When I sit here thinking only thing I truly desire
Is that this poem's message is enough to light the will of fire
Inside you and let it shine throughout the world to inspire
Because you bring out the best in me and that's what I admire
