John Loving Iii Poet Verse

The God That Saves Me

the god that God gave me
is a loving god
he is powerful, he is radiant
he is part of who i am

the god, God gave me
isn't a mythical god
he is righteous, just
and ruler of all

the god, God gave me
was witnessed by my parents
to be the one true God
to them it is so apparent

the god, God gave me 
festers my soul
when people say he's not true
where am i to go

do i reject the god, 
God put inside me
do i look at the proofs
and say; what will be will be

in the end, where will i be
with God or the god He sent me
where will he be?
something tells me, it's not up to me

i'll rely on the God of gods
to decide where i'll be
i'll trust in Him and will not flee
the place where my soul and spirit 
say's i should be
