Notes About The Poem

One day when I was living down south, I went
for a walk and at one point, I didn't think I would
make it back to my apartment because I was in
so much pain.  I prayed and the Lord helped me
get back home.  I came in, took my shoes off and
put my feet up agains the wall and, the Lord took
me in the spirit to Heaven.  He showed me the
beauty of that land, salt water fish, in a fresh
water pool, beautiful trees that I hadn't seen,
pastures so green.  He asked me if I would like
to race Him, (now remember) I had been in
horrible pain but I said, "sure".  We took off
running down the fairway and He let me win!
He picked me up and swung me around and
then put me down and threw back His head
and laughed the cutest belly laugh!  It was
glorious!  When I returned from there, I was
 totally healed!  True story!

The Glory of Heaven

The Glory Of Heaven

When I think of the day that You showed me Heaven
and Lord Jesus it was You Who stood by my hand,
for just a few moments I got to see Glory
oh, the beauty of that fair land.

But more than the beauty
was the smile that was on my Savior’s face,
He was full of so much joy and laughter
and the Glory of His amazing grace.

He showed me beautiful green pastures
waterfalls and flowers to,
but the peace in my heart so content, Lord
just because of my being with You.

He knew I needed to see Glory
because of so many trials and the pain I was in,
but now I have a special glow on my face
because of His love within.

So now, when my life here on earth comes to a close
and an eminent death I must face,
there will be no longer fear now, Lord
because I have already been to that glorious place.
