The Giver

Tommorow I'll be your lover
Not just some tourist trying to slip under your covers
You'll let me show you all the ways that I can be both the giver and thief
I want to carve my name into the landscape of your heart
Lavender and evergreen
We could be our sanctuary
In me you can find a home
Lay your troubles beside me and I'll help relieve your burden
We'll name them one by one and cast them out to sea
As we lie laughing on the shore
Tommorow you'll be my lover
