The gifts of change

The colors of the leaves, now represent change
Like a mirror to my life, as things rearrange
There is no way to know what is coming my way
even with any planning, I may do day to day
But colors can show change can be a beautiful thing
As when multiple things go wrong, leading to an upward swing
I have found the unexpected to be both daunting and great
Time presents the gifts when I am willing to wait
Change for the worst can lead to change for the best
Fighting to survive can lead to peaceful times of rest
I see these colors around me, as I embrace the moment
When I'm still for these minutes, I don't wonder where time went

I can relate with this on so many levels as I myself have found my heart crashing with the waves of anxiety when led to surf through change. But, slowly ~ I've been enlightened to the fact that we can't actually prepare for anything, what's bound to happen will happen and especially, going with the flow will bring peace to us, as what may unfold still remains a surprise.
