The Gift That I Give You

THE GIFT THAT I GIVE YOU My children, the gift that I give you is I, myself, that is being myself with no pretense, no lies. Accepting myself, embracing who I am with my flaws, imperfections, weaknesses as well as my strengths, talents, blessings and showing my true colors, being thankful for who I am. Being grateful and sharing my strengths, talents, blessings to all of you and others I touched in my life. Spreading kindness silently through actions or with prayers, little words of love and gestures of affection. Appreciating every little things; time with loved ones or the wonders of nature for everything are temporary. Time passed by so quickly, you are all adults now and I can see how you carry some things in me. Following my footsteps in your own ways, being honest to yourselves, having integrity, accountability, sharing your blessings, love and spreading goodness. Most importantly the absence of pretense in your actions. The gift that I want to give you is telling my life stories for I firmly believed that we are given life paths designed uniquely for each of us that it does not matter the road we choose, the one most taken or the one rarely taken. Life may seem unfair; but He knows His plans for you, plans to prosper you for He fully equips you for your life journey. Life is short and is temporary and so is everything you have. Anything can easily be taken away from you so do not be so attached to vanity, to material possessions, to idols for they are not permanent and do not give you contentment. Happiness and peace within are decisions you make after accepting, embracing, loving and celebrating who you are. 7/4/21 The Gift That I Give You Poetry Mystic Rose Rose

Thanks so much, Rama. I appreciate your comments. I had been out of town since Wednesday and just got back late last night. We're barbequing and celebrating my son's 41st birthday today. Just penned this poem. Have not read poems, thou.
