The Gift That I Give You

Enjoy your gifts, be grateful, share them ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The gifts of nature given by God How much do we sit and enjoy? We only plunder and destroy The gift of unconditional love showered by parents How much do we value it? Do we give them the respect and care they deserve? The gift of life, many precious seconds How much do we value them? Do we use each moment productively, prudently? The gift of love, compassion given by God Bestowing us with bountiful joy and bliss How much do we practice, share? The gift of breath, the joy of being alive How much do we feel grateful? Full of elation every moment The gift of salvation, unending bliss A gift freely available to all We don't even try for it The gift of this body, a vehicle of soul is for our up keeping not a product of display This gift is often taken for granted Gift of senses, for our enjoyment We let them rule us We sin We only think and talk about our achievements Trying to prove we are better Ego has no end We always think and serve selfish humans Never bothering to think of God whose gifts are boundless Give the gift of unconditional love Share all you have with the less fortunate More you give, more your coffers fill Make a list of all gifts that you have, treasure them Be glad you have so many gifts Let joyous bliss fill your being Be good, do good, spread goodness Let life be a saga of service Be Godly, emulate him ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For The Gift That I Give You, Mystic Rose Rose 4.07.2021 Premier contest winner 9th position

All great questions, Rama. We take so much for granted, don't we? It's as if we sleepwalk through life... :) gw
