The Gift of Words

I write about what people feel Who have no words to say I tell the story in simple words To help them understand What is the point of writing If no one understands The thoughts that come Straight from the heart To calm the soul of man These words I put in simple form Are not to boast or brag But shine a light on a darkened day Renewing the hope you have I thank my lucky stars above For the gift of words and rhyme Truly this is the easier way Even I can understand

I love the way you put this. I always think simple is the way to go, wrote a poem on it too, but I realized that sometimes there's beauty in complication. Nice write anyways.
