The Gift of Love

The gift of love is what makes our world
spin on its axis; the most paramount of treasures
The greatest gift to the human race

Give love freely; give it to yourself, and to life!
What a spectacular thing to be addicted to?
Intoxicate your loved ones with it

God gave it to us so we could pay it forward
For it makes life worth living, and worth fighting for
We must give it as much as we receive it

This country of ours would be a better place
if we all treat each other with respect and dignity
and it starts with the gift of love. Let's reject hate.

Demons of hatred take our souls hostage
and leave it destined for destruction. Hate is...
ultimately slain by the healing power of love

We could make this world a better place
by helping to lift people drained by misfortune
with care and compassion, dissolving their woes

If we could do something that extraordinary
then our reason for living shall not be in vain.
Let's unhook the tentacles of hate by giving....the gift of love!
