The Gift of Friends

A friendship is a special gift
On sad days gives you a lift
Keeps you from falling off that cliff

A friendship lives within the heart
Sometimes you don’t know when it starts
You know it's there when they do not depart

When you are down and have a frown
You can be thankful you have a friend around
