The Gift

My lover's eyes came into mine
Her pain so clear to see

New life inside had chose its time
This day the miracle would be

I invited the Lord to minister us
His presence so much in need

In Him we'd placed entire trust
To harvest our man child seed

She wrenched, she moaned, she cried
I'm helpless to intervene

Then God reached down his mighty hand
And calm became the scene

My wife thrust forward her aching loins
A son was given birth

The Master's gift was ours to reap
A new treasure of the Earth
