The Giant

Dedicated too my father's memory:

Strong hands hold a babe at birth
As a giant looks down upon his child with love and a smile.

A toddler is picked up by strong hands and a kind word , reassurance and wisdom is shared .

A strong hand rests upon the shoulder and with a smile of pride sends this now teenager upon their way .

A strong hand grasps another adults hand the giant wishing the happy couple well in their future that lays ahead .

The giant is always close if needed ,through the years with any trials that may come .
Helping and giving his council freely with compassion and grace .

Much time has passed , the giants shaking hands now hold the grandchild with emotion and love,
happy Memories of the years gone by now blurring his eyes.

Two strong hands rest upon those of the elderly giant as thanks and reassurance are spoken softly .

The great wheel of time turns once more .
A strong hand now rests upon the Giants casket as silence speaks, and words just cannot be found .

My farther was a Giant and an an amazingly wise man , if I could become half the man he was then my walk will have been worthwhile
