The Ghost of My Past

The ghost of my past
It still haunts me,
And my love is gone.
That is all.
Cautiously, I render into the future,
But I always go back to the past
That makes me smile, and makes me cry.
Oh my heart it beats to the nightingales
song, and I smile happy to their tune.
But my past haunts me,
And I want to forget,
So I go into the future,
With head held high
And smiling.
That is all.

This is just what you need to do. The past can stay in the past, or we will miss the present. Take care and God bless you... Lucilla
