The Gentle Man

Tears fall from this man,
gentle eyes blurred

Was it something that was said,
That made his heart so stirred

For this kind heart,
harsh words pierce his being,
for a gentle world this man will live.
For this will set him apart,
from the world of greed and fighting

To sculpt and to enjoy his writings,
care for his children,
a maker of beautiful things

This gentle man enjoys simple things,
for they are important to his soul,
things of great beauty

Beauty of spirit,beauty of words,
beauty of line,of wing
His creations,his all,
his everything

This man does not thrive on conflicts,
quiet gentle flow of life,
is what he seeks

Small bubbling stream,
not harsh torrent,
are what makes this man dream

For the harsh torrent will push you out to sea
far in to the bay
The journey is then to find your way
to the small bubbling steam,
where you can dream

Many troughs and crests you will encounter
times of nearly sinking,
sometimes lose your way,
harsh torrent clouds your thinking

but to arrive at the stream,
bubbling so
makes this man know
where,what and how to dream
