The Gem In I

Admonishment of Proverbs 27:17
Brings birth to understanding
          that
Faith sharpens faith
To unfurl portraits of hope
Trust reveals truth

Acknowledging Matthew 24:44
Calls for consumption
         but
Just as fruit ripens
Footprints etch the clay as proof
To follow his lead.

So I begin to brood through Luke 16:9
        while
The unrighteousness
Touches the believable
Relying on doubt

But I am taught by 1 Corinthians 13
         that
An exquisite glow
Primary to inception
Pleads constant release...

The greatest of these is Love! Who amongst us can claim to be righteous? It is good for us to ponder the scriptures for they make us realize our need of a Savior.

A lot of truth in this poem,.. I especially love the reminder that without love... we have nothing .... Thank you for this.
