The Gaza of Africa Rejoices In Ruins
I mourn for the Gaza of Africa stripped naked
Innocent women, children regret being alive
Cities, villages sit in ruins with broken bones
Vehicles sleep with broken backs, burnt bellies
But anger rages as the powers make statements
This offer of a city in ruins in the Horn of Africa
Extended by the hands of the kind-hearted
To the outsider it’s a myth being manufactured
Liars, conspirators, power addicts smile it away
But historians pen it down for immortality
Mogadishu is the modern Gaza of Africa
Transported from Mediterranean shores in a dream
Now lies with broken vertebral column at the Horn
Innocent souls that mourn each day pray for mercy
In the synagogues and mosques of their hearts
When will Gaza of Africa ever reap from mercy?
Who will be the savior of Gaza of Africa?
Which weapon will eliminate hate in Gaza land?
Bombs, AK 47 forces the Gaza to rejoice in ruins
Gaza, Gaza, Gaza why is peace so elusive?
The heart that hates and destroys the innocent
Fingers that are trigger happy in once joyful land
The powerful that see business in blood-shedding
May the guiding stars descend on their path
To direct them to the city the savoir will be born
Gaza of Africa may your tears germinate mercy×2
