The Garden of My Mind

My thoughts exude a sweet perfume
And buds await their chance to bloom.
But down below there lie in wait
Deep weeds which seek to suffocate.

Hi Wendy, Weeds do suffocate, and so can hidden, lurking dangers beneath the surface - so well penned - well done and good luck! Poetry wishes, Jennifer.

Excellent writing, Wendy. What we see on the surface sometimes camouflages the full image. Best wishes in the contest, Carolyn

Ah, yes, those willing weeds are waiting in the wings, to grab up their chance. Nice one! Good luck in the contest Wendy.

Thanks Caren. My mental garden is thankfully pretty weed free currently.
