The Garden of Love

Love is like a beautiful flower That we both have to water It is the rarest of all flowers Tucked away safely In the most sacred of all vessels The heart But beware of the serpent in the rainbow Who lives in the shadow of all gardens Filled with treacherous trickery Danger has suddenly surfaced In the eyes of the lonely one Lurking only to rip the flower of love From the ground by its roots But puzzled to find it has bloomed Liked a beanstalk guarded by one thousand scarecrows Who will pay with their life to protect what is sacred In the garden of love
