The Garden
The gate through which I enter stands full wide,
Welcoming the visitor as though with silent pride,
"Come look at me" it seems to say " if you
have time to while away,
If you enjoy a quiet day, or if you need to hide",
"If you should need to be alone to weep,
or speak aloud a secret you must keep,
Come, sit within my corner's nook, in
solitude,to read your book,
For time, it is so swiftly took, before the need for sleep".
