Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of garbage truck drivers using joy sticks to pick up garbage cartsI might want a job working on that truck myself. LOL

The Garbage Guys

They usually show up early Today some came an hour Ahead, and its only Tuesday What brought on that enthusiasm in this shower. They could have waited until The storm is over around ten Staying at home and Lying in their warm bed But out in this horrible, terrible Cold, wet weather In those damp, smelly trucks How do they endure it altogether And yes, some of them are drivers With special training with CDLs And can use those joy sticks To pick your roll-out carts up

Darlene, My husband started a garbage service here after we were married maybe 4 years or so. He need a job where he could be his own boss and that was the way he went. He made a success of it. He has worked in all kinds of weather, all kinds of conditions, etc. He has not had to work like that in a long time though. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

Its amazing their work ethics and energy during storms too, makes me think too. Very well written . I love the way this flows so seamlessly. Especially “ How do they endure it altogether“ exactly my thought. So much respect for such individuals. Sending you light always. Hope the weather isnt too bad there.

IE, I live in central west Georgia USA. I think it is about gone now, but it is still very dark out and it feels like another system is on its way, but maybe not. I hope so. I think we may have had at least 4 inches of rain. Sara K

IE, Thunder rolls every once in a while, pouring rain off and on but I think the worst is over or at least I hope so. We got a lot of rain last night but don't know exactly how much, my husband hasn't checked the rain gauge.I imagine those guys who are out there working have experience many of the drops personally. Thanks for your visit. Sara K
