The Game

Life is the way for us to enjoy and play, Life is a game that is better when we kneel down and pray. Praying is something that gets us closer to Him. Life’s game begins with our faith, it comes from within. I despise what life’s woes that can bring us to shame, That people lie, cheat, steal, to them it’s a fun game. We have many games like baseball, football, basketball, to name a few. But with the Lord, it’s a serious game so many can’t get through. Chess, monopoly, are a few other games that come to mind. Strategy is the rule and it comes very easy to masterminds. We as humans sometimes treat our spiritual life as a game. Forgetting our Father and Jesus, breaking His life’s laws, is really a shame. Ignoring His laws and edicts, is a bad way to play this game. His book is taken out of context many times, we should be very ashamed. This game we are playing with our Father’s spiritual laws, Will be addressed in His coming, and it really sticks in my craw. So read your sports page, and play on your desktop computers. Have fun listening to your special games and your daily commuters. But unless you study His words in the Bible and read it as babes. Your fate will be sealed and the consequences will be grave.

Robert, I did not receive your Soup Mail. You can send mail by clicking on the coffee cup next to my name at the top of any of my poems. I pray you do get a sponsor and I hope your radio show appearance is a huge success. Plugs for my novel would be most appreciated -- it has spiritual and environmental messages and is written for people of all ages. It's called "Colonizing Atlantis, the New Earth." Love, Carolyn

I luv and luv this poem. This is so true. The one line that stands with me the most is that one that states "His book is taken out of context many times" so true. God bless you with your writing. I gave you a 7 because it is well deserved!

Robert, our youth's obsession with "games" is a perpetual source of consternation for me. I don't know how it got to be this way. We are in a state of moral decline. Ignoring God's laws will bring consequences in the end. I keep praying that young people will become enlightened. I know you're writing about people in general in this incredible poem, but the youth represent our future. I am very concerned about them. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Love, Carolyn
