The Gambler Playing Cards Hand

This my game is up The cards are about to fall Not long now Until my bluff is called And everyone will see Me for who i really am I'm not even holding a pair And worst of all The stake i am gambling with Isn't even mine Yet i still went ahead and bet it knowing i could never pay it back

I love this poem Christopher. I just have one question. What influenced you to create this slam poem?

Love this Christopher your only playing the hand that life dealt you, the person in the poem has gambled themself into a corner, so many people dig this hole for themselves, sometimes through addiction, stupidly, desperation or sheer bad luck, I stand accused of all four, at different stages of my life, brinkmanship is indeed a very dangerous game cheers David
