The Galaxy Drive-In

Like at a drive-in theatre
they arrive around dusk
cloaking speed-of-light vehicles
within the musk of the horizon.
Watching us from a distance
telepathically tuning into any channel
to any place on our planet.

oum-war
oum-tragedy,,,
oum-horror
oum-terror...
lately there's been only one channel...
the charades at the masquerade ball channel

The aliens did a cost-benefit analysis
had us all figured out in a short time
and figured we weren't worth the risk
so they grew restless and lost interest
in our endless greed-lies and wars...
so they zipped off to another galaxy
for refreshments and entertainment
with the possibility of a takeover...
