The Futures Past Present

I knew for years I needed new,
starting fresh and ploughing through,
before parents die out the blue,
haunting regret forever with you.

The chance is now, here to take,
you can’t go back when it’s to late,
your future's only yours to make,
you’re heading for a world you’ll hate.

The futures past mistake is one you made today,
wake up now not at the wake, you have to change your way.

A haunting Hell forever present,
if you don’t gift now at present,
the effort of a new leaf present,
avoiding that mistake starts today,
your futures present.
