The Future of My Past

The future of my past

The life that you lead is all you need for one another
And all the tears that you've cried brings another colour

The year’s show on your face like a mask to cover
And all you know is all the fears drift away my brother

The time goes so fast that you think you’re on a roller-coaster
And the memories that you have take them with you along the water

The day has nearly passed and my eyes are getting darker
And the pace has beaten you at last for a generation mother

The people in my life have been so vast that I might not recover
And the reasons that shape my past are of my choosing love and honour.
