The Future

The Future

I never gave it too much thought
How my future may turn out
I had so many other things
My mind had to think about

Of course I had lots of time
To discover present day
And my youth and beauty
Combined to let me have my way.

But youth and beauty fade away
A lesson that was taught so well
I learned it as the years flew by
And my life became a living hell

No one to blame but myself
And a lesson learned so late
Maybe now I can look within
And maybe change my future fate.
