I buried my wife that I loved just yesterday,
I thought she loved me the very same way,
After the funeral I stumbled upon a love note,
She loved another man and sailed upon his boat.

It is a sad reflection to know your greatest love whispered the same words to another in the same way.

My sympathies go out to this man, but I can't quite understand why riding on his boat was so significant to the poem.
