The Fragile Snow

The snow is falling gentle and fragile
     the air is frosty but I am all bundled up
we know how to dress for the cold in Canada
        why do the little birds not mind the snow
they chirp a joyful song and move together as one
          and on a window ledge pigeons fold their wings
