Translucent is the beauty of the foxglove flower, and
hiding is something they never ever do; careful they are
extremely poisonous giving rashes, nausea and headaches !
Find them in a cottage garden mingling, entangled with cat mint, or
often they self seed in very strange and odd places, they are
xcelsior (excelsior) hybrids and available in many lovely colors; just
go look inside the beautiful tubular flower for freckles and spots. And
love and admire them in a woodland theme garden, like me
on sunny days I pause to treasure their loveliness; Foxglove are a
very respected flower to treat heart failure for over 200 years, oh
enjoy them but do not touch them without gloves.
Foxgloves make a nice gift (with warning) for a friends garden, but
like taking over- one needs to control their rambling ways; that
on tall spikes these dreamy gems grow tall and stunning, behold
walls of these charming flowers that are a true natural beauty. There is
every color imaginable available but I am fond of the pink, but listen well
remove the tallest spikes for new growth and they will be very happy.
