The Fox Is Hunting Us

They choose and ooze one-sided views
Which suffuse weak minds and confuse
With truth distorted
Fair and balanced thwarted
Fox News is the ultimate ruse

Author's note: Someone at work puts this on in the gym all day. The "reporters" are paid to gab about what matters from the very rich and selfish point of view. It is a real freak show. People I know who I thought were intelligent repeat the talking points with absolute belief. Fortunately, a lot of people sense the charade.

Thank-you kindly Connie. Sometimes I can't stand it, so I come here and write. We live in very strange times. There is a lot of advertising money that is coming to bear upon what the rich folks would like us to believe. Fox is one big ad for those folks IMO. A small group of very very wealthy people with access to broadcast TV--scary.

Oh no. What a shame that is. Fox is the tool of the very rich who would have us be happy they are raking in all the money. At least some of us see through this crazy lie.

World news is very different than the news that is hand fed to us in north America. You make an excellent point.

It has only gotten worse. If Donald gets to be president, I expect he will be impeached on trumped up charges. That way, they can try to put in one of their own players. Strange things are happening.

You must be busy. I happened to be here and saw I didn't respond to your comment. You are missed, but no worries. You are doing important work. I hope that you are avoiding the biased news these days. Of it, there is no shortage.

Thanks--I really can't bear the distortions. They are after our souls. It's part of a campaign to get folks to act against what would be best for the world. That is the real "bad news". Now--I must go and read your latest posts!!!

Linda, from your writing I know you know how to separate fact from fiction. Things are not always what they seem. I must say that I believe being able to read your work is a privilege. You remind me how important it is to have empathy. There is not enough of it and biased news is a death blow.

A thought provoking limerick, which probably applies to most media outlets Duke. I particularly like the line 'Which suffuse weak minds and confuse.' Well done.

David, I think they are among the worst. I get the feeling that the commentators don't really believe what they are saying. However, you are correct--the disease has spread.

I watched fox news from it's onset . Does that make me an airhead ;) Though it does get boring & I switch Ch. I do like Waters World when he talks to other airheads ;)

They pander to people's anger and frustration. They suggest the answers to our problems are not handled by dealing with the root cause, and make that sound good. I am really glad you told me this. Now, the people and policies they pick on have their problems too, but there is something evil in the intent of fox. I think of them as the wolf (fox) and you as little red riding hood. Am I nuts?
